It’s a unique, customizable, and transformative granulated candle wax, or "candle sand," that can be poured into any vessel of your choice to create your very own unique candle.
Plant-based and non-toxic: No synthetic dyes or fragrances

Fragrance-free(dom): Use essential oils to customize the scent
Our sand candle is completely natural and free of fragrances. This makes it an excellent choice for individuals who experience allergic reactions or headaches from scented candles, as well as those who prioritize a low-tox and health-conscious lifestyle. However, if you wish to add a specific aroma, you can safely do so using essential oils.
Fresh candle every time: Replaceable wicks ensure your candle looks like new at all times
Our sand candles feature pre-cut wicks that offer 10-12 hours of burn time. Once your candle has cast its enchanting glow, just remove the used wick and effortlessly replace it with a fresh one.
Safe candle: Self-extinguishes when tipped over or when the wick burns out
Our sand candle is the safest candle out there (not considering LED candles as these in our opinion are not the real candles) – it has a remarkable self-extinguishing feature when tipped over as the sand will fall on the wick and put out the flame.
Kinder to Earth: FSC-certified and biodegradable
At Chameleon Sand Candle, we prioritize responsible sourcing and sustainability. Our candle sand is RSPO-certified, fully biodegradable, and home-compostable.
Only very little sand gets used with every burn, making it very sustainable (unlike normal pillar candles that mostly get used only once in events).
Our new innovative Chameleon Sand Candle's tubes have FSC-certified and biodegradable packaging and we have used plant-based inks.
Our dedication to sustainability extends to our wholesale packaging. While our current packaging is recyclable, we're actively working towards even more eco-friendly solutions.
We are consistently using the method of the 3 R’s to achieve continuous improvement: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

We have used over 13 metric tonnes of RSPO certified palm oil for our products manufactured since 2023.
Chameleon Candle Co Pty Ltd became RSPO Supply Chain Associate Member since 2025.
4. Relighting & refreshing the candle
If you wish to relight the candle, first check the length of the remaining wick by lifting the set wax out the candle sand.
If there is no wick left or if you want to freshen up the candle's appearance, disgard the solid wax and insert a new wick.
If there is still some wick left, you have two options: you can either place the solid wax back into the sand as it is or break the sides of the set wax and put it back into the sand. For a cleaner look, insert the set wax into the sand upside down.
People
The workers and communities involved in the production have been treated fairly and respectfully. Good working conditions and ethical business practices are fundamental to sustainable palm oil production.
Using essential oils
Chameleon Sand Candle is fragrance-free, however, you can use essential oils to create a gentle aroma. Just add a few drops of your preferred essential oil around the wick before lighting the candle.
It's important to remember not to add essential oils while the candle is already burning.
Please keep in mind that using essential oils differs from using artificially scented candles. The scent will be more delicate and natural.
Safety
Chameleon Sand Candle offers a higher level of safety compared to regular candles. Chameleon candle self-extinguishes when tipped over, minimizing the risk of accidents and potential fire hazards.
Additionally, the candle is designed to self-extinguish once the wick burns out, providing an added layer of reassurance.
With Chameleon Sand Candle, you can enjoy the warm glow and calming ambiance without worrying about potential dangers.

Forests are protected from deforestation, and no harm is done to endangered species, ecosystems and habitats. To protect the climate, new plantations must not be developed on peatlands, and carbon emissions must be reduced.
Prosperity
Better management and training in good agricultural practices significantly helps increase yields. This gives small-scale farmers and their families sustainable livelihoods, providing them with steady income throughout the year.
The RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) – our Standard for growers
Preventing deforestation: Clearing or converting primary forest or ecologically valuable forest areas, such as High Conservation Value (HCV) areas and High Carbon Stock (HCS) forests is not allowed.
Prohibition on the use of fire: “Slash-and-burn” practices to clear land are not allowed.
Pesticide usage and management: Use of highly hazardous materials is prohibited. In rare and emergency circumstances (i.e., pest or disease outbreak), exceptions may be applied.
Peatland protection: New plantations on peat are prohibited.
Upholding human rights: The rights and wellbeing of local communities and Indigenous peoples are respected.
Labour rights: Workers have access to housing, food, salaries, collective bargaining, etc.
