Instructions
1. Pour the candle sand into the vessel
For optimal performance, we recommend using a vessel with a width of at least 9 cm. This ensures that the melt pool doesn't reach the sides of the container.
While a fireproof vessel is preferred, you can also use other containers as long as they are wide enough to maintain a safe distance between the melt pool and the edge, preventing the container from heating up excessively.
2. Insert the wick
When inserting the wick into the candle sand, remember to leave out a 0.5-1 cm end only. Leaving out a longer end will significantly reduce the burn time of the wick, as it will burn rapidly until it reaches the candle sand.
By following this simple guideline, you can ensure your wick burns for 10-12 hours.
3. Light the candle
Relax, unwind, and savor the ambiance created by your beautifully lit candle.
Avoid touching or moving the candle while it is lit or the wax is still hot. Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
4. Relighting and refreshing the candle
If you wish to relight the candle, first check the length of the remaining wick by lifting the set wax out of the candle sand.
If there is no wick left or if you want to freshen up the candle's appearance, discard the solid wax and insert a new wick.
If there is still some wick left, you have two options: you can either place the solid wax back into the sand as it is or break the sides of the set wax and put it back into the sand. For a cleaner look, insert the set wax into the sand upside down.
Adding essential oils
Add a few drops of essential oil around the wick before lighting the candle. It's important to remember not to add essential oils while the candle is already burning.
